The contract that went to the wrong company
A test we ran on purpose, on Google Drive with demo accounts and an agent called contracts-agent. On the first run it did its job and still got it wrong. On the second run, the same mistake was refused.
It found the right names at the wrong company
We set this up on purpose: a demo contract, and two demo companies that each had a Sarah and a James in the contacts. The instruction was ordinary: share the agreement with Sarah and James for signature.
The agent found a Sarah and a James, shared the contract and confirmed. The confirmation read back perfectly. Both people worked at the other company.

What got out on the first run. Illustration with example data. With two Sarahs in the contacts, a prompt is only a request
Matching names to contacts was the job, and it did it fast and cleanly. Nothing it could see said that only one company was cleared for that document. You can write “only share with people at Acme” into the prompt, and the agent will try. With two Sarahs in the contacts, trying is what you get.
Second run: refused before it reached Drive
Same instruction, same contacts. The agent found the Sarah and James at the other company first and tried to share. The share was refused before it reached Drive.
The record shows the agent, the file, the two addresses it tried and the rule that said no. Then the agent found the right Sarah and James and shared with them. That went straight through, because the rule allowed it.

Same instruction. One share refused, one allowed. The rule decided.Illustration with example data. What stopped it: share only with one company
The agent’s share permission is limited to the counterparty’s domain. A share to any other domain is refused before the request reaches Drive, and the refusal is recorded. Shares inside the domain go straight through, with no queue and no click.
Recipient rules are on Studio and above.
Who can your agent share a document with right now?
If you don’t know, start by watching. Observe Mode shows every call one agent makes, live, with no signup. It records and never blocks, so nothing about your setup changes.
